Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use ContextBot.
2. The Service
ContextBot provides AI-powered answers about GitHub repositories by analyzing PR history, commits, and documentation.
We provide the service "as is". We do not guarantee:
- 100% accuracy of AI-generated answers
- Uninterrupted availability of the service
- That answers will meet your specific requirements
AI responses are generated by Anthropic's Claude API and may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete. Always verify important decisions independently.
3. Your Account
- You must provide a valid email address to register
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure
- You must not share your account with others
- You must be 18 years or older to use ContextBot
- One account per person
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use ContextBot to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Access repositories you do not have permission to access
- Attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the service
- Resell or redistribute access to the service
- Use the service to harm, harass, or deceive others
5. GitHub Tokens
If you provide a GitHub Personal Access Token:
- You confirm you have the right to access those repositories
- You are responsible for the token's permissions and scope
- You can revoke the token at any time from your GitHub account settings
- We store it encrypted and use it only to fetch repository data on your behalf
6. Payments and Subscriptions
- Free plan: limited to 1 repository and 10 questions per month
- Pro plan: $79/month, billed monthly via Stripe
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
- Cancel anytime from Dashboard → Settings → Billing
- No refunds for partial months already paid
- Prices may change with 30 days notice sent to your registered email
7. Intellectual Property
- ContextBot and its underlying code are owned by the operator
- Your questions and chat history belong to you
- GitHub repository content belongs to its respective owners
- We do not claim ownership of any repository content accessed through the service
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 3 months
- We are not responsible for GitHub API downtime or Anthropic API downtime
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Abuse the service or its infrastructure
- Engage in fraudulent activity
You may delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Danger Zone.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms with 30 days notice sent to your registered email address. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Polish law. Any disputes will be resolved in Polish courts.
